Wacom Technology Corp.
Chief Financial Officer/Vice President of Finance & Adminstration

POSITION FILLED

Wacom is the world's leading manufacturer of pen tablets and interactive pen displays with customers worldwide using its cordless, battery-free, pressure-sensitive pen technology for digital content creation. Wacom Technology Corporation is primarily dedicated to the development, manufacture and sales of pen tablets, interactive pen displays, pen sensor components and related software.

Pen tablets are computer data entry devices consisting of an electronic pen and a tablet. They allow users to input data just as if they were using a regular pen to write or draw on paper. They have two lines of tablets: high-performance professional pen tablets for specialists and highly skilled amateurs and easy-to-use consumer pen tablets for general users.

Interactive pen displays provide an intuitive entry environment that allows users to directly enter data using the pen sensor incorporated into the LCD. There are also two lines of interactive pen displays: products for graphics professionals and those for general users. Pen-input functionally requires pen sensor components in electronic devices such as PCs. Currently, Wacom's pen sensor components are primarily shipped for Tablet PCs and have been adopted by nearly every Tablet PC manufacturer in the world. Wacom develops and manufactures sensor components that enable entry by either an electronic pen or the touch of a finger and these new sensor components already appear in PCs from several manufacturers.

This variety in Wacom's product line up makes them the leading company in the tablet market, commanding 86% of the global market (Wacom estimate) and 96.7% of the domestic market (BCN Award 2007). Wacom expects the growth of the tablet market to accelerate given the fact that Windows Vista supports pen-input as a standard function at the OS level. The pen-input platform is expected to expand beyond PCs to include a variety of electronic devices, including mobile phones, games consoles and information appliances.

Wacom's pen tablets have been well-received by professionals in graphics as well as other fields such as health care, education and business. Pen input using advanced IT and telecommunication technologies is changing our lives by replacing the constraints of pen and paper with the enhanced functionality of electronic pens and displays, thereby providing new solutions that remove the restraints of time and space.

Wacom is a global entity with its parent company, Wacom Company Ltd., based in Japan and subsidiaries in North America (Wacom Technology Corporation), Germany, United Kingdom, China, Korea, Australia and other offices across Asia Pacific. Wacom was selected as the winner of the First "Disclosure Newcomer Award" as part of Tokyo Stock Exchange's project for recognizing listed companies in 2006. Out of ninety-six companies newly listed in 2005, two were selected by the Tokyo Exchange to receive the award for the quality of their discloser systems. Among the candidates, Wacom was especially recognized for its proactive approach to disclosure in its Summary of Consolidated Financial Results as well as providing Business Reports with clearly presented figures and easy-to-understand visual images. With FY 2007 revenue of $243 Million, strong gross margins, $107 Million cash/cash equivalents and a deepening penetration and expansion of applications for pen tablets, Wacom is well positioned for future success. Wacom has over 700 employees globally with North American headcount at approximately 100. Wacom's North American headquarters is located in Vancouver, Washington.
