SNAPin Software, Inc. fundamentally changes and significantly improves the economics and profitability of mobile operators. As the leader in mobile interaction management software, SNAPin enables operators to deliver a branded, relevant experience directly to their subscriber's handset - reducing the costs of providing live customer care and generating incremental revenue through the discovery and use of new services.
Vodafone Group and T-Mobile USA are customers actively involved in deploying SNAPin software in multiple countries. In addition, wireless operators (representing over 200 Million subscribers) are engaged with SNAPin in commercial deployments. Nokia named SNAPin "Innovator of the Year" and best productivity application. SNAPin is also actively engaged with handset manufacturers who represent 90% of the device market and have received full support from their operator customers to enable the deployment of SNAPin's software across an extensive portfolio of devices. Additionally, SNAPin recently received its core patent through the U.S. and Trademark office for its call intercept technology. The patent, titled "Call Intercept Methods, Such as for Customer Self-Support on a Mobile Device," covers among other things the call intercept feature in SNAPin's SelfService Care product, which intercepts a subscriber's call to customer care. This protectable technology, market leadership and rapid adoption give SNAPin a commanding lead in this high growth market.
SNAPin has pioneered the new field of mobile interaction management giving operators new and more profitable ways of interacting and engaging with subscribers. This software puts operators in control of the user experience, enabling full carrier branding, market segmentation and OTA (over-the-air) customization to insure each subscriber gets what they want and when they want it, based on their existing behavior.
SNAPin's product suite consists of SelfService Care and SelfService Campaign. SelfService Care intercepts calls to customer care and presents each user with advanced tools to solve their own problems right on the screen of their phones. Users can make balance inquiries, top up and pay their bills and even run advanced diagnostics to repair device settings and configuration. SelfService Campaign delivers targeted offers and interactive promotions right on the device driving both service adoption and incremental revenue. With SelfService Campaign, operators interact with their subscribers by using contextual service discovery, such as promoting MMS when taking pictures or promoting music services when configuring ringtones.
The self-service client runs as a native handset application written in C/C++. The self-service applications are executed by the client and written in ECMA Script (similar to JavaScript). The self service applications are updated OTA via the self-service manager.
Marquis venture capital firms Oak Investment Partners, Frazier Technology Ventures, Trilogy Equity Partners and Hunt Ventures have invested $36 Million in the company including a $12 Million Series D that closed 4/08. SNAPin is headquartered in Bellevue, WA with offices in Bellevue and London (UK) with a total of 80 employees worldwide.
