Ambassadors Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:EPAX) is a socially conscious, education company located in Spokane, Washington. Ambassadors Group is the parent company to People to People Ambassador Programs, World Adventures Unlimited and BookRags, an educational research website. The company also oversees the Washington School of World Studies, an accredited travel study and distance learning school.

In May 2008, Ambassadors Group acquired BookRags to compliment their educational travel offerings. The company is an industry-leading educational website that attracts up to 6 million unique visitors per month. Students and teachers are able to “research anything” through over 10 million pages of content, including BookRags – created material, licensed material, user-generated content and other third-party content, including hundreds of writers/authors on contract writing critiques, summaries, etc. What began as an online/modern day version of “Cliff Notes” has developed into a content-rich site that includes study guides, eBooks, tests, literary reviews/critiques/summaries and other subjects like history, math and science. Recently, the company included teacher-specific content like lesson plans, study guides, games/puzzles and other products applicable to the classroom.

The revenue model is based on subscriptions and advertising sales. Subscriptions, which account for ~60% of the revenue, can be either one-time individual purchase ($5-10/per), monthly or annual subscription services. Ambassadors Group completed this acquisition with the goals of bridging cultural and political borders through education, to build the BookRags business through native growth and converting more visitors to customers and broaden the entire company’s revenue stream through a website that markets/serves a similar customer base – students!

BookRags is based in Seattle, WA, employs 5 (plus hundreds of contractors) and is a highly profitable, industry –leader in its niche. The parent company, Ambassadors Group, has safely traveled over 400,000 delegates to over 40 countries, creating global goodwill and common understanding. The company also believes in giving back –it has provided over $1M in scholarship funds to students who demonstrate a deep commitment to their education and community. Ambassadors Group had gross receipts in excess of $250 Million and reported net revenue of $98 Million. Highly profitable with a strong balance sheet and no debt, Ambassadors is well positioned for continued global leadership in this industry. Ambassadors Group employs 230 people and is headquartered in Spokane, WA. The qualified candidate will have the following:

• Successful experience as a President, VP/GM or VP Marketing in a consumer-focused Internet company.
• Track record of monetizing a content-rich internet site.
• Proven history of developing the strategy and implementing tactics and operations to broaden the revenue stream of an internet property.
• Leadership excellence evidenced by developing teams of at least 5-10 people that have driven sustainable competitive advantage.
• Experience with higher price points or premium product/service offerings will be preferred.
