Ambassadors Group, Inc.
Chief Financial Officer

Ambassadors Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:EPAX) is a socially conscious, education company located in Spokane, Washington. Ambassadors Group is the parent company to People to People Ambassador Programs, World Adventures Unlimited and BookRags, an educational research website. The company also oversees the Washington School of World Studies, an accredited travel study and distance learning school. Ambassador Programs, which is the largest and most profitable division, consists of People to People educational travel programs initiated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower over 50 years ago. His vision was to bring ordinary citizens together for the purpose of working toward peace through understanding. Program participants experience personal growth that comes with crossing cultural boundaries, learning about other countries, and sharing their developing perspectives about their co-delegates.

The People to People Ambassador Programs consist of:

Student Ambassador Programs: These provide an educational opportunity for students in grade school, middle school, and high school to travel to one or more foreign countries or domestically to learn about the history, government, economy, and culture of such countries. Programs are marketed through a combination of direct mail and local informational meetings, primarily from August through November. Representatives review candidate applications and conduct selection interviews throughout the country. Accepted applicants participate in orientation meetings to prepare for their travel programs. Delegates depart primarily during the summer months and generally travel about 14-23 days. Each delegation consists of 30-40 students and is accompanied by several teachers and local delegation leaders and guides in each country. Programs are designed by a staff of international planners and researchers to provide an educational and entertaining travel experience. In many instances, students are also provided an opportunity for a home stay with a host family for a glimpse of daily life in that country. Students who complete certain written assignments can receive high school and university credit for participation in the program. This is the largest program and accounts for approximately 63% of revenue.

Student Leader Programs: These provide the opportunity for motivated students with academic promise, leadership potential, and a desire to serve their communities to travel domestically and internationally to exchange ideas with renowned speakers, field specific reports, professional educators, and peers. Designed for middle and high school students, delegates engage in designed team-building and leadership-building exercises. Trips last 7-10 days and students can receive high school and university credits for completion. The Student Leader Program accounts for approximately 24% of revenue.

Sports Ambassador Programs: These provide an opportunity for student athletes in middle school and high school to explore the host country's culture and participate in international tournaments with teams from across the world in up to eight different sports. The process for selection and training is similar to the Student Ambassador Programs, however delegates travel approximately 9-14 days. Teams are formed based on gender and age and most teams comprise athletes from several different states. Once rosters are formed, training continues for tournament competition as well as sports nutrition, psychology, leadership, physical training, and cultural excursions. Athletes also are eligible for university credit. The Sports Ambassador Program accounts for 8% of revenue.

Citizen Ambassador Programs: These provide professionals with common interests the opportunity to travel abroad to meet and exchange best practices with foreign citizens with similar backgrounds, interests, and professions. Travel is usually 8-12 days and programs consist of agriculture, economics, education, law, medicine, and science. This Professional Program accounts for approximately 5% of revenue.

For more than 40 years, Ambassador Programs have safely traveled over 400,000 delegates to over 40 countries, creating global goodwill and common understanding. The company also believes in giving back –it has provided over $1M in scholarship funds to students who demonstrate a deep commitment to their education and community. Ambassadors Group had gross receipts in excess of $250 Million and reported net revenue of $98 Million. Highly profitable with a strong balance sheet and no debt, Ambassadors is well positioned for continued global leadership in this industry. Ambassadors Group employs 230 people and is headquartered in Spokane, WA.
